Q: Is there any registration fee?
A: Yes, since IIT Kharagpur Platinum Jubilee celebration has sponsored a significant amount of the budget, we kept low registration fee for students.
Q: Is my registration confirmed?
A: Please visit the ‘registration’ portal in the website. If you have filled all the required fields and submitted your application, a registration confirmation email has already been sent/ will be sent shortly with in 24 h. If you have not got any confirmation email in your registered email, please contact us through: Email- transmatter2026@gmail.com and Website link: transmatter.org
Q. How do I reach the venue, IIT Kharagpur?
A: If you are coming by train, you need to deboard at Kharagpur Jn. Railway Station, then you may book Ola/ Rapido (cab/bike), Toto, Auto (as per your convenience) from the station to reach the IIT campus.
If you are travelling through air, you need to reach ‘Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU), Kolkata’ and then take a cab or train (from Howrah/ Santragachhi railway station) to IIT Kharagpur campus as mentioned above.
Please keep your Institute/ Govt. ID card and conference registration confirmation document with you for smooth entry to the conference venue.

Q: Will accommodation be given?
A: TransMATTER-2026 organizers received accommodation approval (hostel accommodation) for participants but the number is limited to 70 (30 Males and 40 Females). Since the number of registrations is too high with respect to approved numbers for accommodation, we are prioritizing people from other states first to get allotted in the hostel. Our accommodation team member has contacted most of you personally. Those who assured staying outside will not be allotted a hostel, and we sincerely thank them for their support towards the organizing team.
Q: Will accommodation be paid or free?
A: Accommodation will not be paid by the conference committee.
Q: Will food be given during workshop?
A: Yes, here are the schedules of food given by conference organizers:
5th September, 2026: Breakfast with Tea/Coffee, Pre-lunch tea/coffee, Lunch, High Tea, and Dinner.
6th September, 2026: Breakfast with Tea/Coffee, Pre-lunch tea/coffee, Lunch, High Tea and Gala Dinner
5th September, 2026: Breakfast with Tea/Coffee, Pre-lunch tea/coffee, Lunch, High Tea, and Dinner.

Q: Will travel be sponsored?
A: No. You may contact our travel team for prebooking your journey through Cab.
Q. Will the poster presentation be Digital/Physical?
A: Physical, you need to bring your printed poster as per the poster presentation guidelines.
Q. How do I load my oral presentation (ppt. / .pdf) in the conference?
A: Please keep your presentation in your own flash drive and contact our tech team before your scheduled presentation. Online presentation upload will not be possible.
Q: Will the workshop be online?
A: No.
Q: What will be the schedule of conference?
A: The conference will start from 08:00 AM (from breakfast) on 5th September, 2026. The detailed schedule will be given during registration. We are confident you will really enjoy the workshop with respect to speakers, training, industrial exposure, foods, and registration kits.
Q: When will the conference be finished?
A: Valedictory has been scheduled from 05:30 PM to 07:30 PM, 6th September, 2026, followed by Gala Dinner.
Q: Where and when to report?
A: As per the Google link given above on the webpage i.e., Gargi/Maytree/Kalidas Auditorium. Further schedule will be given. Please report at Gargi-Maytree Auditorium Foyer at 08:00 AM on 5th September, 2026.
Q: Will a certificate be provided?
A: Yes.
Q: Will an e-certificate be provided or in hard copy?
A: E-certificate will be provided in the website.
Q: I am reaching on 4th Sept, will hostel be provided?
A: Yes, as per the temporary allotment to 30 (Female) and 40 (Male) will be provided, payment basis by the participant.
Q: I will be leaving on 7th September, will hostel be continued?
A: Yes, those who will have temporary allotment of hostel can continue till 7th September Forenoon, payment basis by the participant.
